First Kotex sanitary napkin ad
in a magazine (January 1921),
and the First
Kotex Ad Campaign
This ad formed the first of a
carefully planned series of ads in
1921. See a
prototype of this ad,
probably from 1920, with a
discussion of the first ad,
below.
According to documents at the
State Historical Society of
Wisconsin, Wallace Meyer, of The
Charles W. Nichols Company, an
advertising agency, wrote the text
for this ad; John Taucke
illustrated it; and Albert M. Ross
designed the logo and box.
