Actress Carol Lynley and a
Modess puberty
& menstruation booklet
Like Susan
Dey, the American actress
Carol Lynley, who made dozens of
films from the 1960s to the
present day (among others, Under
the Yum-Yum Tree, The Cardinal and
The Pleasure Seekers), made her
menstrual hygiene ad as a teenage
model, and two years later
appeared on the cover of Life
magazine; she was the top junior
mannequin in New York, having
started as a pre-teen. She modeled
clothing in the Sears, Roebuck
catalogs of the time.
Below this we see, incredibly, a
Carol Lynley paper doll,
appearing in 1960, when she was
18. And, a little later, she posed
nude for Playboy magazine
(bottom of page).
The ad is for the Modess booklet
"How shall
I tell my daughter" from the
September 1955, when she was 13.
See probably another ad with her
here, for
Tampax.
Many
pictures, long download!

Carol Lynley
appeared on the cover and was also
the subject of a biography within
as a 17-year-old, in January 1959.

She was 23 when
this picture crossed the fold, but
not the centerfold, of the March
1965 Playboy, after Lynley had
divorced, had a child, and had
long since given up "regular"
modeling for the movies.
