Kotex "Are you in the know?" booklet
for menstrual napkins, 1956, U.S.A.
For years copywriters for Kotex
produced Are
you in the know? advertisements
for teenage American girls. This
booklet - below are the cover and two
interior pages - is a compilation of
these ads published by Kimberly-Clark
in 1956. There are only Caucasians in
these ads, and the advice
they give, and the dress of the
people, suggest at least an upper-middle class
audience. Times have
certainly changed! See a more complete
discussion
elsewhere.
